$2 1857-60s White Mountain Bank - Lancaster, New Hampshire PMG 10

This is a pleasing note with one of the most famous vignettes for any obsolete banknote.  This 1860 $2 note from the White Mountain Bank of Lancaster, New Hampshire features a Durand Type I Santa Claus vignette. The vignette depicts Saint Nick seated in his sleigh driving his team of reindeer across a roof top.  With honest circulation throughout and a minor repair comment that takes away little from this festive note, this example may be the perfect stocking stuffer for the Santa Claus admirer in us all.
